About Us
Marrybrown was founded in 2001 by Malaysians, Amirah and Syahid in Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia. Marrybrown offers high quality servings with a wide range of flavourful signatures including juicy and crispy fried chickens, delectable burgers, local delights, side dishes and a variety of cold and hot beverages. Not unusual for fast-food restaurants, but what set Marrybrown unique was its proud Malaysian heritage.
Our Story
Marrybrown began as a small chicken and burger restaurant in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. The owners then, had a vision for an inventive fast-food experience that would satisfy both foreign and Malaysian palates by combining regional flavours with Western-style food. From the modest beginnings, Marrybrown became well-known for its wide menu, which featured foods from Malaysia, such as nasi lemak, mi kari, as well as fried chicken, burgers, and more. Serving up an assortment of distinctive, flavourful, and reasonably priced dishes, Marrybrown also offers a pleasant dining-in experience in a cozy setting. This international fast-food company will always be a hassle-free, family-friendly quick-service restaurant with options for dine-in, takeaway and home delivery—all within the comfort of the consumer.
In keeping with our slogan, we promise to constantly bring "Something Different" to the table, no matter where we travel. Over the years, Marrybrown had grown beyond Malaysia and became the first Malaysian fast-food chain to venture globally. Marrybrown has achieved a lot awards throughout the years of operation, including Excellence Entrepreneur Award 2022, Best Franchise Award 2022, International Halal QRS Excellence Award 2023, and more. By 2024, Marrybrown had grown to 198 local branches and another 500 worldwide spread throughout 16 countries.
